September Show Dates
The September show dates follow closely after the Nationals at
On Saturday between 1pm and 4pm pre-works will be available at no additional cost Riders may list their names with the show office to ride out individually in the pen similar to show practice without the pressure.
To new club members, pre-works is a designated amount of time usually 5 mins or 10mins where a horse and rider combination enter the pen, walk to the centre of the arena and commence a pattern. It works like a ‘simulated show’. This allows the horse to get used to people walking up and down the grandstand other horses waiting their turn outside in the warm up area with out the ‘nerves’. The horses also get familiar with the microphone, the music, and everything else which is going on. Pre-works is timed and you are called to enter the arena and informed when your time is up.
This is a great opportunity for beginners to really get the feel of the pen at Gatton and allow your horses to familiarise themselves with their surroundings. Good to introduce young horses as well.
